  Our rates are competitive based on market averages. We keep our profit margins and business expenses as low as possible so that we can pass on the maximum amount possible per lesson to our piano teachers. Rates vary depending on location, so please contact us for further details.

• How do payments work? Do students pay me directly?

  We collect payments in advance from students, and make payments out to teachers on a monthly basis, after each full month of teaching.

• How am I paid?

  Payment methods vary based on location, and include bank transfer, email money transfer, and Paypal. Please contact us directly for more details.

• How soon will I hear from you? How soon will you have students for me? How many students will you have for me?

  These are tough questions, as they depend on a variety of factors as well as a bit of luck. Please be patient, and have faith that we are working through our online piano teacher job applications as efficiently as we can, and will keep you updated as things progress.

• What kind of online piano students do you get?

  Our largest category is beginner piano students. Our enrolment is split fairly evenly between children and adults, and between students interested in classical, jazz, pop/rock, and students who have no preference / are open to any style of music. We also have more experienced piano students up to very advanced levels. From time to time we have requests from celebrities such as high-profile pop artists and movie stars preparing for piano-playing roles in films.

• Can I advertise on your website?

  We promote all of our online piano teachers on our website. Currently the only way to be considered for inclusion on our website is to complete our online piano teacher job application form.

• Can I apply to teach both in-person and online piano lessons?

  Yes, let us know if you are interested in this, and we will be happy to consider you for both. Please keep in mind that our pay rates for online piano lessons are lower than in-person piano lessons, as we are working with the competition of a worldwide marketplace.

• I don’t have a degree. Can I still apply?

  Yes. We give priority to online piano teachers with a minimum qualification of a Bachelor degree in music, however we have made exceptions on rare occasions, and will be happy to consider your job application. Please be sure to provide proof of your highest piano/music qualification, whatever that may be.

• I can’t find my degree. What should I do?

  We can accept other documents as proof of your qualification, such as a transcript or official letter. If you have another type of document that shows evidence of your qualification, feel free to submit it, or ask us if you are unsure whether it is valid.

• I’m moving to one of your target cities soon. Can I apply before I get there?

  We require a full address in the city you are applying to as part of the application. If you are moving soon, please wait until after your move to apply.

• What are your policies surrounding student cancellations?

  A week’s notice to cancel a lesson completely for a refund. With less than a week’s notice, but more than 24 hours’ notice, the piano teacher is obligated to arrange a makeup lesson or add extra time onto future lessons. With less than 24 hours’ notice the piano teacher is paid and is not obligated to make up the missed lesson time.

• What happens if the online piano teacher needs to cancel a lesson?

  Our online piano teacher jobs are flexible, and you can cancel your online piano lesson bookings as needed - just keep in mind that many students want consistency and may request to change online piano teachers if you cancel or reschedule too often.
