Our online piano teacher Tom offers piano lessons in all styles of music for ages 4 and above, from beginner to advanced. This piano teacher has a Bachelor of Music degree and a wealth of experience both teaching and performing as a multi-instrumentalist. Tom has been teaching piano lessons since 2018. He graduated with First Class Honors from Trinity Laban Conservatoire, where he studied jazz piano as a recipient of the Trinity College London Scholarship. As a solo pianist, Tom plays in restaurants and for private functions, though most of his performances are with bands. He plays regularly with bands of varying genres across the United Kingdom and Europe. Prior to moving to London to pursue jazz, Tom played keys with the Worcester-based indie band, The Mustoes. He can now be heard as part of the punk band Morgan Noise, with Italian drummer Chiara Spigariol's quartet, and with the Swedish folk band Oknytt. He was also a part of Trinity Laban’s Living Time Orchestra, performing at Blackheath Halls. Tom leads his own folk-jazz band, playing his original music. In his duo with Rebecka Edlund, a Swedish folk singer, they perform original songs on piano, guitar, and accordion. His musical virtuosity has led him to play at venues from the Vortex to the O2 Academy, and to attend many festivals such as Green Man, Shambala, and Fire in the Mountain. He specializes in accompanying singers on piano, and plays with pop artists Talia Rae and Gracie Convert. Tom is passionate about making and sharing music, and has recorded and released music both with bands and as a soloist. Tom is a friendly individual with a patient and practical approach to teaching, personally tailoring each piano lesson in order to inspire his students.
