Our online piano teacher Ryan offers classical and pop/rock piano lessons for ages 4 and above, from beginner to intermediate levels. This piano teacher has a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. Ryan has been teaching piano lessons since 2019. He is a trained pianist certified through Yamaha Music School Jakarta at Yamaha Grade 6, equivalent to RCM Grade 8–9 level. He has studied piano for over a decade and has developed strong musicianship through formal training, teaching, arranging, and performance experience. Ryan has experience performing and collaborating in group music settings through school productions, ensemble work, and a cappella performance. He is currently a bassist with Surround Sound, the University of Toronto’s official a cappella group, which has consistently placed in the top three at the annual International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella. He also served as the music team lead for AMBIO, where he directed and produced the music for an annual school play, composed an original eight-song soundtrack, and led an eight-person music team for practice and studio recording sessions. Ryan has supported students and performers in educational and rehearsal settings through his experience as a music teacher’s assistant at Binus School Simprug. He assisted with practice sessions for multiple instruments and created musical arrangements for class performances using MuseScore. Ryan has also taught piano privately and at Mississauga Fine Arts Academy, working with students ranging from young children to adults and from beginners to skilled musicians. Ryan’s strong musical background, teaching experience, and student-centered approach allow him to provide engaging and supportive piano lessons tailored to each student’s goals, skill level, and musical interests.
