Heather: Online Piano Teacher
Our online piano teacher Heather offers classical and pop/rock piano lessons for ages 9 and above, from beginner to advanced. This piano teacher has a Master of Music degree and a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. Heather has been teaching piano lessons since 2008. Heather is an accomplished solo pianist whose performances have spanned concert halls across the United States and Europe, from Carnegie Hall to the Muziekgebouw aan’t IJ in Amsterdam. She has also performed as a soloist with various orchestras, such as the Las Cruces Symphony Orchestra. Her solo playing is marked by expressive depth, technical precision, and a commitment to artistic exploration. Heather has also performed extensively as a pianist with chamber ensembles, bands, and orchestras across the United States and Europe, including with Tim Kliphuis’s ensemble and The Five Elements. She has also worked as a rehearsal and orchestra pianist for numerous choirs and ensembles, such as the Berkeley Community Chorus and Orchestra. Heather has extensive experience as a piano accompanist, working with vocalists, instrumentalists, and ensembles in both concert and rehearsal settings. She is known as an accompanist for her sensitivity, and deep musical insight. Heather has collaborated with a wide range of soloists, including Hanna van Rooijen, Maya Rridman, and Vincent van Amsterdam. She is also a talented composer, and her original works have been performed by other artists, such as renowned pianist Ralph van Raat. Heather is a dedicated and flexible piano teacher who tailors each lesson to the individual student’s goals, combining technical rigor with creative insight to support meaningful musical growth at every level
