Priscilla: Online Piano Teacher
Our online piano teacher Priscilla offers classical piano lessons for ages 4 and above, from beginner to intermediate levels. This piano teacher has a Bachelor of Arts in Music degree and a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. Priscilla has been teaching piano lessons since 2022. Throughout her formal training, she participated in frequent masterclasses, often held weekly in front of students from different grade levels, which helped build strong performance confidence, musical adaptability, and comfort at the piano. These experiences shaped her collaborative musicianship and ability to respond sensitively to other performers. She has extensive experience as a piano accompanist, having accompanied her peers during college recitals across disciplines, including voice and drama. Priscilla has also performed duets with fellow musicians for recitals at the music school where she currently teaches, and regularly accompanies her own students for performances and assessments. In 2024, she was invited to serve as a jury member for a local Ritmüller Piano Competition, marking her first experience as an adjudicator. This opportunity provided valuable insight into evaluating contestants across multiple criteria, including musicality, technique, interpretation, and stage presence, and deepened her understanding of pedagogical standards in performance assessment. Priscilla’s teaching style balances structure with enjoyment. She believes that while discipline and proper guidance are essential, especially for younger students, piano learning should also be engaging and encouraging. Having experienced rigid and discouraging teaching methods during her own childhood, she is intentional about creating a supportive environment where students associate piano with confidence and enjoyment rather than pressure. Priscilla’s approach to piano learning emphasizes strong foundations, expressive freedom, and a positive long term relationship with music.
