Yiwen has been recognized with numerous prestigious awards for her performances, including winning the Pittsburgh Concert Society Major Artist Audition and the Young Artist Concerto Competition at West Virginia University. She has also been a prizewinner in major national and international competitions, and has been awarded competitive scholarships at the Peabody Conservatory, Boston Conservatory at Berklee, and West Virginia University. Yiwen also has extensive experience performing with chamber ensembles, choirs, and orchestras in both academic and professional settings across the United States and Europe. She has performed in prize-winning chamber and duo piano ensembles, winning the Pittsburgh Concert Society Major Artist Audition and placing in MTNA and ChaMP competitions. Yiwen is a sought-after accompanist with an extensive background accompanying choirs, vocalists, and instrumentalists in academic, church, and professional settings. She has served as staff accompanist at Montevallo University, Mercyhurst University, and for the men’s and women’s choirs at West Virginia University, demonstrating a high level of musical flexibility, sight-reading ability, and stylistic versatility. She is also an active adjudicator for piano and music competitions and festivals and holds multiple Royal Conservatory of Music Teacher Recognition Certificates, reflecting both her artistic excellence and pedagogical expertise.
