Mario: Online Piano Teacher
Our online piano teacher Mario offers classical piano lessons for ages 10 and above, from beginner to very advanced. This piano teacher has a Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance degree and a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. Mario has been teaching piano lessons since 1999. In his career, he has performed solo recitals both in Indonesia and internationally, including in Malaysia, Thailand, and the United States, many of which are followed by seminars and masterclasses. He has also been involved in chamber music performances, mainly in academic and concert settings connected with conservatories and music institutions, especially vocal chamber works (art song and opera). Mario has worked extensively as an accompanist for singers, including classical art song recitals, student voice recitals and conservatory performances, and multiple church choirs. He has also accompanied other instrumentalists, including violinists, cellists, and saxophonists. He is not only a performer but also a research scholar in music, particularly in the areas of music history, tonal analysis, and performance practice. His scholarly work compliments his teaching and performing career, as it helps students understand not just how to play music, but why it is constructed the way it is, deepening both interpretation and pedagogy. Mario combines extensive music qualifications and performance experience with a comprehensive, research-informed teaching approach, fostering the development of students into well-rounded, technically proficient, and musically expressive pianists.
