Our online piano teacher Katarina offers classical and pop/rock piano lessons for ages 7 and above, from beginner to advanced. This piano teacher has a Bachelor of Piano Performance degree and a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. Katarina has been teaching piano lessons since 2016. As a solo pianist, Katarina's repertoire spans the Classical, Romantic, and contemporary periods, with a particular interest in bringing both established masterworks and lesser-known composers to audiences. She has performed at venues including the Sydney Opera House and has participated in international masterclasses and festivals in Austria, Croatia, and Germany. Katarina is also an experienced collaborative pianist and chamber musician who has performed in a variety of ensemble settings throughout Australia. Her performance experience includes appearances as an orchestral pianist with The Metropolitan Orchestra at the Sydney Opera House, collaborations with the all-female contemporary music ensemble Ensemble Muse, and the social impact-led Dreambox Collective, as well as performances in piano duos and chamber music settings. In addition to her performance work, Katarina has extensive accompaniment experience, having worked as an instrumental and choir accompanist across leading Australian schools. This background has given her a strong understanding of ensemble playing, musical collaboration, and supporting other musicians in performance. A highlight of Katarina's career was serving as the artistic director of a concert celebrating the 200th anniversary of Clara Schumann's birth, where she was responsible for the artistic vision and organization of the event and also performed as a soloist with orchestra. This experience reflects her passion for creating meaningful musical experiences and championing the work of influential musicians. Katarina is committed to helping students develop a deep understanding of music through thoughtful, high-level piano instruction that cultivates technical excellence, musical independence, and artistic insight.
