Our online piano teacher Kate offers piano lessons in all styles of music for ages 3 and above, from beginner to intermediate levels. This piano teacher has a Master of Music degree and extensive experience both teaching and performing on piano, cello, and bass guitar. Kate has been teaching piano lessons since 2012. Kate is a talented pianist who performs across classical, jazz, and contemporary genres. Her musical background includes performance training at the Royal Academy of Music and Watford Music School of Music. As a solo pianist, she combines strong technical foundations with an expressive and engaging musical style. Kate also has extensive experience performing with chamber ensembles, bands, and orchestras across classical, jazz, and contemporary music settings. She has collaborated with a wide range of musicians in concerts, recordings, and live events, including performances at venues such as Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, the St Pancras Clock Tower, and Royal Albert Hall. Kate also has several years of experience as a piano accompanist, including four years at Watford School of Music's Saturday Music Centre, where she accompanied instrumental students in lessons, rehearsals, and performances. She has worked closely with young musicians and teachers across a range of instruments, supporting examination preparation, concerts, and ensemble activities. She spent two years running a regular jazz jam session and currently performs with the alt-pop/rock band EUTH. As an educator, her teaching is warm, adaptable, and student-centred. Kate combines strong musical foundations with creativity and enjoyment to help learners of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds develop confidence, skills, and a lasting love of music.
