Benjamin: Online Piano Teacher
Our online piano teacher, Benjamin, offers piano lessons in all styles of music for ages 4 and above, from beginner to advanced. This piano teacher has a Bachelor of Music with honours degree in Classical Piano Performance, and a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. He has been teaching piano lessons since 2012 and regularly performs in and around London as a solo pianist. During his studies, Benjamin was taught by Mikhail Kazakevich, Deniz Gelenbe, and Andrea Vicary (jazz), and received praise for his sensitive yet powerful playing, particularly regarding Romantic and French repertoire. He recently performed in a masterclass with renowned French pianist, Pascal Rogé. Early in his career, Benjamin worked mainly as a Musical Director and led orchestras for shows such as “Sweeney Todd”, “The Last 5 Years”, “The Producers”, and “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels”. He is also the MD for reputable contemporary gospel choir “Enchorus”, who can be seen most years accompanying the live finals for X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent, as well as in Sam Smith’s “Stay with Me” music video. As a piano accompanist, he regularly accompanies students taking their ABRSM or Trinity instrumental exams, as well as singers and choirs. He has a deep understanding of playing with ensembles and a keen interest in jazz performance and jazz repertoire. Benjamin believes that everyone will learn in a different way, and has a tailored approach to teaching that focuses on each of his students' individual needs and goals, while making the piano lessons fun and exciting.
