Ivan enjoys performing on piano at every opportunity and has performed as a piano soloist at recitals at a variety of established venues. When performing, this piano teacher is passionate about conveying more than just sound; he aims to connect with his audience. Ivan has performed with many chamber groups and truly enjoys the experience of collaborating and sharing music with others. This piano teacher is a member of a piano duo and has performed at various events with great success. Ivan has participated, along with some colleagues, in a quartet performance, receiving the runner-up award at a Cape Town competition. He has also worked as a piano accompanist with various musicians and vocalists and always finds it inspiring to work with other musicians. Ivan believes that there is a symbiotic relationship between piano teaching and piano performing. He has, to the best of his ability, embraced both parts equally as he believes one strengthens and develops the other.
