About Terrence

Our online piano teacher Terrence offers classical and pop/rock piano lessons for ages 6 and above, from beginner to very advanced. This piano teacher has a Bachelor of Music degree and a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. Terrence has been teaching piano lessons since 2017. He is currently pursuing a Master of Music in Piano Literature and Performance degree at Western University in Ontario. He is studying with top instructors in the field, continuing to advance his teaching and performing skills. As a solo pianist, he has performed many recitals, as well as with the Western University Symphony Orchestra. Terrence has received widespread recognition for his piano performances, including being the two-time winner of both the Fred Pattison Piano Competition and the Maritsa Brookes Concerto Competition. He also won first place in the Canadian Music Competition National Finals in Quebec. He has also received third prize at the OMFA Finals for solo piano and first prize in the concerto class for his performance of Liszt’s First Piano Concerto. He has performed for world-renowned pianists including David Jalbert, Louise Bessette, Stéphane Lemelin, and Stephen Runge. Terrence often uses his musical talents for good, volunteering as a musical performer at the Niagara Health System (NHS) Hospital and at the Royal Henley Retirement Residence in St. Catharines. He is knowledgable in all areas of music, and has worked with the Niagara Symphony Orchestra as an Executive Assistant and the Patron Relations Coordinator. Terrence is also dedicated to teaching, sharing his expertise and passion for piano with students to inspire the next generation of musicians.
