About Nick

Our online piano teacher Nick offers piano lessons in all styles of music for ages 5 and above, from beginner to advanced. This piano teacher has a Bachelor of Piano Performance degree and is excited to share the art of piano with anyone who is willing to learn. Nick has been teaching piano lessons since 2008. Nick has been performing for many years at various small venues across Atlantic Canada and also in his home province of Ontario. Nick's recitals are very simple... one hour concerts of purely improvised piano music. Every concert is a new and unique experience for each audience. Nick has performed with the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra, Consortium Aurora Borealis, and many local bands in his hometown of Thunder Bay, Ontario. Nick is also the founding member of the Sapphire Trio— an underground trio consisting of cello, piano/keyboards, and percussion. The Sapphire Trio gives spontaneous concerts at various venues, mainly public pianos and small halls in Atlantic Canada. Nick has experience accompanying singers, guitarists, other pianists (students), and silent film productions. Nick has composed for both short films and video games (specifically Roblox), and has created music for various visual arts projects and exhibits. By choosing to work with Nick, students will gain access to a comprehensive and well-structured approach to learning piano and piano improvisation. Lessons consist of personalized attention and guidance tailored to each student’s unique needs and goals. He also helps his students to find opportunities to perform and showcase their piano skills in a variety of settings. Nick provides a supportive and encouraging environment for piano lessons that fosters creativity and self-expression.
