About Josie

Our online piano teacher Josie offers piano lessons in all styles of music for ages 6 and above, from beginner to advanced. This piano teacher has a Bachelor of Music degree and a wealth of experience teaching individuals and performing voice and piano. Josie has been teaching piano lessons since 2018. In her musical career, Josie has performed her songs at a Decca Records showcase, and has sung and played at many events. She has performed and sang with classical, soul, and hip-hop ensembles, as well as a swing big band. As a singer songwriter, Josie accompanies herself on the piano. She is talented in helping students work to develop this skill too. Josie has focused her musical career on teaching, as she finds it the most rewarding to facilitate the development of a student’s musical ear. She is a trainee creative arts psychotherapist, interested in embodied music and rhythm in groups to foster connection and listening. She is also a continuous learner herself, taking classes in percussion. This piano teacher’s experience playing live with classical, jazz, and contemporary ensembles, combined with her studies in therapeutic approaches and music groups, gives her a broad understanding of music. Josie’s engaging approach to teaching piano aims to strengthen students' connection to music and inspire their creativity.
