About Jimmy

Our online piano teacher Jimmy offers classical and pop/rock piano lessons for ages 7 and above, from beginner to advanced. This piano teacher has a Bachelor’s in Piano Performance and a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. Jimmy has been teaching piano lessons since 2017. This piano teacher has performed in masterclasses for some of the world's best teachers and from many of the world's leading music pedagogical institutions, such as the Eastman School of Music and the Juilliard School. Jimmy has played in over 15 chamber groups, and as an orchestral pianist he has performed in productions of Copland's Billy the Kid and Strauss' monumental opera Salome with the Bard Conservatory Orchestra. He is well trained in the art of accompaniment, able to adjust both rhythmically and musically for the soloists he performs with. He has accompanied some of the world's best classical musicians in concert, including members of the Metropolitan Opera. He has won several major international piano competitions and earned a full scholarship to pursue a Master of Music degree, currently in progress. Jimmy is an enthusiastic, passionate, and knowledgeable teacher who sincerely wants to help each individual student become the best musician they can be. He has studied with many of the world's best teachers and is eager to pass along what he has learned. He is excited to teach all levels, from complete beginners to highly advanced players. This piano teacher pays attention to individual musical goals and helps students play the music they want to play, whether it’s their favorite rock/pop songs or preparing for competitive conservatory auditions.
