About Alex
Our online piano teacher, Alex, offers jazz and pop/rock piano lessons for ages 16 and above, from beginner to advanced. This piano teacher has a Bachelor of Music degree, and a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. He has been teaching piano lessons since 2015. This piano teacher has performed solo classical piano repertoire in venues such as Keble College, Oxford, and the recital room of the Guildhall School. He also often plays solo jazz piano sets at private events, and frequently performs with jazz combos, including a regular engagement at an East London cafe and music venue, and background music for private events. He has appeared with jazz big bands at the Milton Court Concert Hall, and at other prominent venues such as the Oxford New Theatre and music festivals such as the Cork Jazz Festival. As a member of an alternative rock band, he has appeared in many key venues on the London circuit including the Camden Assembly and the Old Queens Head. Furthermore, he has worked often with singers, accompanying them on piano or with a rhythm section, and has provided classical piano accompaniment to students for degree recitals and ABRSM exams. He has appeared in duos with singers at London venues such as Toulouse Lautrec, and has played overseas on several occasions, including at LiveGreen Festival in Kristianstad, Sweden, several appearances at the Cork Jazz Festival in Ireland, and at several venues in Prague, Czech Republic. This piano teacher has been playing for 15 years and enjoys sharing his knowledge with his students, tailoring the content of his piano lessons to whatever the student's interests and needs might be.
