About Jeanie
Our online piano teacher, Jeanie, offers piano lessons in all styles of music for ages 3 and above, from beginner to advanced. This piano teacher has a Bachelor of Music degree and a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. Jeanie has been teaching piano lessons since 1990. She has studied for over 25 years with the world-renowned piano pedagogue German Diez, a student of Claudio Arrau—a lineage of teaching that goes back through Liszt and Beethoven. She taught and performed in New York City for over 25 years before moving to Taos, NM as a singer/songwriter who has cowritten and performed with Jimmie Dale Gilmore. This piano teacher tours nationally as a singer/songwriter/pianist and has performed in solo piano recitals in New York and New Mexico. Jeanie's high level of education and experience, coupled with a true desire to cultivate and nurture each piano student's unique musical voice in a fun and creative way, makes her a wonderful choice as a teacher for any student.
