About Tim
Our online piano teacher, Tim, offers piano lessons in all styles of music for ages 4 and above, from beginner to advanced. This piano teacher has an Associate Diploma of Music in Piano Performance, and a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. He has been teaching piano lessons since 2014. Tim has a special love for modern music performance practice and pedagogy. This piano teacher has played piano in a variety of ensembles for weddings and music festivals. Most recently, he was the rehearsal pianist and second keyboardist for the new musical I Once Was Lost. Tim is an enthusiastic music collaborator and has worked as a piano accompanist for instrumentalists and vocalists at auditions, competitions, and for studio recordings. This piano teacher is especially interested in art song interpretation, with a focus on obscure and under-performed repertoire. An encore piece composed by Tim was performed in 2016 by pianist Olivia Xin Zhang to an audience of three thousand in Hubei, China. Recently, he has been working on a short treatise detailing his gathered insights on piano technique and artistry. This piano teacher’s breadth of experience and knowledge provides excellent enrichment for piano students looking to develop a deep appreciation and fresh perspective on the Western art music tradition.
