Our online piano teacher Michael offers piano lessons in all styles of music for ages 6 and above, from beginner to advanced. This piano teacher has a Doctor of Musical Arts in Music Composition degree and a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. Michael has been teaching piano lessons since 1990. As a performer, his career has included great variety, including both solo and collaborative performances. Michael has performed in jazz lounges and in various rock bands over a span of 50 years. He is also a talented accompanist, and has performed with several singers— both classical and jazz. He has accompanied numerous choirs over the years, both popular and classical. Michael has also been composing and recording music for over 25 years, including an award-winning orchestral piece. As a teacher, Michael has instructed over 500 students in piano, theory, and composition. He has taught both children and adults, including at the university level. His students have consistently received outstanding remarks on their piano exams. He is an innovative and creative teacher that builds strong rapport with his students. Michael can inspire pianists to seek their highest level of achievement through his relaxed but firm teaching style.
