Set Up Live Online Piano Lessons via Google Meet
It’s easy to set up for your live online piano lessons using Google Meet. It’s free to use, even if you do not have a Google account.
Here’s what you’ll need to do to get ready for your online piano lesson:
- Specializes in classical piano
- Styles: Classical, Advanced Classical, Pop/Rock
- Accepts students ages 4 and above
- Exam preparation: Audition Preparation
- Languages: English, French, Japanese
- Time Zone / Region: Asia and Australia
Follow the link your online piano teacher sends you. Your piano instructor will send you a link before your first online piano lesson. Click on the link or copy and paste it into your browser to get started.
Adjust your camera and microphone. After you follow the link, you’ll see a preview of what your live online piano teacher will see. Adjust your camera so your face and hands are visible in the video window.
Note: It’s important not to use any video effects such as blurring or a video background, as these will prevent your piano teacher from seeing your hands as you play.Test your audio setup (desktop or laptop). Below the video window, click the “Check your audio and video” button. Then click the blue “Capture & diagnose” button on the right. This will allow you to record and view a short sample so you can preview how you and your piano will look and sound during your online piano lesson.
(If you need to change the camera, microphone, or speaker your computer will use for the lesson, click “Audio & Video” above the video preview window.)Join the meeting.
Without a Google account: Enter your name in the box provided. Then select “Ask to join.” Your online piano teacher will let you in shortly.
With a Google account: Select the blue “Join now” button.
